About this Activity – Active listing for North Pole Kids
This is Fairbanks and North Pole's only kids triathlon. It will take place in North Pole at Chena Lake Recreation Area on June 30 following the adults’ race.
The distances are a 200 yard swim, 6 mile bike, and 1.25 mile run. The swim will start at the same location as the adult race start. The bike course is on the bike trail parallel to the road that runs along the dike. The run is partially on paved bike trails and partially on dirt trails.
Event details and schedule
The race will be limited to 50 participants to avoid congestion. It will start when the adult race, which starts at 9 am, is complete. We expect the kids' race to start about 11:30 am. The adult race participants will hand out kids’ participant awards.
This is a participatory event, meaning there will be no timing or results.
Entry fee is $15 + USA Triathlon membership. If you are not a USAT member you will need to buy an annual pass ($10 if 17 and under, no one-day pass available) to participate. Refunds are not available. Note: it is not necessary to be an Active member to register.
Refunds are not available. Those on a waitlist will not be charged until their registration is confirmed.
Prior to race day, each participant must be verified as able to complete a 200 yard swim unassisted. This may be done by a swim coach, lifeguard, or race director.
Parking will be available at the swim beach parking lot, no parking is allowed along the road or in the transition area parking lot.
